Casar66 Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 As you may know, I have/had (I'm not sure yet, the race ist still on) my own “clunk story": Before cutting out parts of the body or separating the body from the frame, I would make sure that the knocking noise was really coming from that area. Good luck! Cas Quote

Good luck! Cas Wise words Cas! For example the steel tube in the rear mounts have been known to become un-bonded from the rubber allowing the dif to move which causes a clonk, along with so many other bits on a TR5 George Edited February 4 by harlequin Quote

As I swept around I was confronted by the back of the precediong TR. Brakes on sharpish. Behind me came Keith Brown in his BRG TR4 with tyres squealing. Thankfully we all stopped without changing the shape of anything. The problem was a horsebox. Where the horse had been p*ssing on the plywood floor it had become rotten. At this bend, on the on-coming side of the road, the floor had collapsed and now (I had a vision) the horse was galloping along hindered by the floor remains. I imagine it was quite serious as it took some time to get things sorted Happy days Roger Hi Roger Yes that was a very hair raising moment. I think the preceding car might have been Alan Wilding's car. Never a dull moment on the Welsh weekends. On another occasion the whole convoy ended up in a muddy farmyard I seem to remember. I got lost in thick fog somewhere on another run. Pity we don't do the Welsh weekend any more. Keith p.s. not in the habit of p*ssing in the TR so floor should be ok!
