john.r.davies Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 My phone accesses the TRR Forum, but with a crossed red dot alongside the URL Tapping that gets a page from Google Chrome saying that "You should not enter any sensitive informaton on this site (for instance passwords or credit card details) because it could be stolen by attackers" Google offers more details. I'm not going to enter my banking details here anyway, but should we be concerned? John Quote
Dale Moore Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 Don't know John, but looks fine here. Dale Quote
james christie Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 I too have had occasional warnings from Norton that the site is 'unsafe' james Quote
Paul Hig Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 Sure admin will pick this up and look into it in due course Quote
RobH Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 (edited) The website itself seems secure and there are no 'trackers' shown. The certificate is current. That means that the link between you and the site itself is properly encrypted including your log-in password so no problems there. BUT as with any open forum the posts themselves must be accessible and that is a vulnerability as anyone can read them, including web-crawlers. Just be careful not to post any personal information. I expect that is what Google et al mean. Edited January 24 by RobH Quote
Harbottle Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 I think it is to do with your own system on your computer. Sometimes it says the website is insecure or the current "certificate or licence" whatever that is ,is out of date. Has happend to me a couple of times in the past but has rectified after a couple of days? Quote
