My Dads Car Posted February 13 Report Posted February 13 I bought the fancy braided brake lines from Moss. Front fit ok, now starting on back and I noticed this discrepancy: Regarding the bottom hose right side: can someone please tell me what that nut with the hole in it is? I can't seem to remove it and what was there before certainly did not have the same fitting. Thanks in advance- Jamie Quote

In which case there are two rear hoses that are different. My block is on the left side of the car. Based on my photo above; the hose on the right goes on the right side of the car while the hose on the left goes on the left- with the unusual fitting I initially asked about towards the block? Also, since you mentioned it, do the copper washers that came with brake pipe set go at every union, including the calipers and rear pistons, or just at the front and rear blocks? BlueTR3A-5EKT Posted February 15 Report Posted February 15 Washers go between the hose and the brass blocks to form a fluid seal. The cone on the other end of the hose seals to an inverted cone formed on the end of the rigid brake pipe and is clamped closed by tge tightening of the flare nut to the hose thread. Quote
