Richardtr3a Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 Did any on else see Wheeler Dealers on TV tonight ? It was a good programme but not made by a TR specialist. The car had been dry stored for 20 years and Ant Anstead did a very good overhaul. They show the costs but there was no labour figure. There was a new door skin to cover small damage and the engine was very well cleaned and a new crankshaft oil seal was fitted. The project was in the USA and when they were out on the road there were no other cars. I suppose that if you were just watching TV without any TR experience then it would make some sense. The TR register could have made it more interesting. Richard Quote
PriceLes Posted April 7 Report Posted April 7 (edited) I recorded that episode and the one done by Car SOS. (White TR4) Why they bought an expensive TR6 door skin in the UK when an original door in the USA would have been half the cost or less is a mystery. Edited April 7 by PriceLes Quote
Steve-B Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 Seen both shows and always wonder why the Labour costs aren't shown. With some of the restorations they would be more than the car's value! Quote
