keith1948 Posted April 20 Report Posted April 20 Just replaced slave cylinder and now about to set the pushrod clearance. Workshop manual says 0.1 inch i.e. 1/10th inch. Haynes manual says 0.010 inch which I think is wrong. I have always in the past used 1/10th inch and even made myself a setting gauge. Any thoughts? Keith Quote

Presentation, printing, content etc.. I don't know why I keep my copy. Probably to give to somebody I don't care for..... james Quote
RogerH Posted April 20 Report Posted April 20 I have the same book and refuse to look at it. But it does look profesional on the shelf. Roger Quote
keith1948 Posted April 20 Author Report Posted April 20 (edited) It also states 0.010 inch in the TR4/TR4A owners workshop manual autobook 778 by Kenneth Ball. They are wrong as well. However in Triumph TR Maintenance, Modification and Tuning by J L S Maclay it is 0.100 inch (1/10th inch). That book was printed in 1967 whereas the Autobook was printed in 1969 and the Haynes manual in 1971. Anyway glad you all seem to agree that 0.1 inch not 0.010 inch is the setting.
