Hi all.   Just at the point of finishing my chassis build.   Very quick.question around fuel pipes.    My car is fitted with H6 carbs but all I can seem to find are sets for HS6 or Stromberg Equipped carbs.    Will the HS6 set fit? Or at least can it be modified to fit.   I'm assuming its just the fitting at the carbs and the pipe linking are different?

Float chamber tops on H6 use a banjo connection (usualy), HS6's use a simple spigot that the pipe pushes on to.

My H6 carbs have push on connections, don`t know if they have been changed some time in the past or whether later TR3a had this alteration from the factory. The pipes should be the same anyway from the tank to the pump. Being a TR4 I would assume that the carbs are like mine with push on fittings so I cannot see any real problem with the pump to carb pipe either.

If it is push fit connectors on your H6 carbs then I have a new unused link pipe that goes between the two carbs. Item is pre shaped not the straight bit of pipe the specialists sell.   Pt no 120329    Yours for £20.00 plus postage.

See attached photo of what I have.

Good shout, takes a while to bend the pipe just right to suit!

Stuart.
