Sixeighter Posted May 3 Report Posted May 3 I know this subject has been discussed previously but has anyone had an EasySteer system installed? Quote
Malbaby Posted May 3 Report Posted May 3 (edited) Only pics of the installation. The unit itself seems to be good, and relatively easy🙂 to install, but the mounting system is lacking in good engineering practice, and IMHO would not pass "Engineering Certification"....Can be overcome with a more substantial firewall mounting plate, together with a better torque strap.. Need a higher output alternator and dedicated wiring, relay etc. Have you considered fabricating your own EPAS from available suitable sources. Edited May 3 by Malbaby Quote
Sixeighter Posted May 3 Author Report Posted May 3 I had thought about fabricating my own from parts but would interesting to hear from someone that has done it. Quote

had17462 Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Hi ,I have fitted two made up from mgf motor and ecu but they was for xk150 and now helping someone fitting one to a 120 but changing to rack and pinion I am no mechanic but find it nice and easy but had great instructions from jag guru Rod shears who also gave me the wiring diagram etc the bulkhead bracket needs beefing up like it does on the Triumph range but transforms the car for me but like I said that was a much heavier car Nick Quote
Mike Morris Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 I had it done at https://easysteer.co.uk/ The engineering is superb and has transformed the driving experience. Quote
Z320 Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Search „Clio“, please. You find 2 threads (already 8 years old!) Ciao, Marco Quote
