Adjusting tr5/6 injector pop pressure

Hi,

AI and Google is messing with my head. 
 

which way to turn the nylon retainer nut on a Lucas injector to increase pop pressure?
I stripped and cleaned an injector which was only 46 psi. When I put it back together it was popping at 50 psi, as I set the others to 52 psi I tried to increase it. I turned the nut half a turn and it went to 49 so I looked at what AI had said ….. tighten to increase pressure. I did another AI search and it said undo to slacken the spring to increase. 
I slackened by 3/4 turn and it went to 46 psi. 
surely tightening and squashing the spring increases the pop pressure. 
Another few hours wasted. 
I’ve turned it both ways and it only decreases. 
I know a few forum members have set their injector pressures, hopefully one or two will see my post. 
 

any help gratefully accepted. Don’t ask AI and pass that on please. 😂

Clockwise to increase. The lucas manual gives opening pressure between 45 & 55psi.

Thanks, that’s what I did with the others, I don’t get why it reduced when I tried to get another 2 psi to match the others. 
spring related issue maybe.
