Really fed up with adjusting valve gaps every few trips now so I ordered a new set of rocker arms as there was play evident as they were mounted on the shaft. Tapped out the caps pins and removed the caps... no issue. Was hoping to slide off the pedestals but no way Jose, is it normal to have to hit them with anything to get them to move? can't find any locking mechanism and even tried some mild heat and a gentle tap with a nylon mallet but they're not budging at all? Sorry can't find anything online about this, it all seems to be about getting the pins out of the caps but that's not an issue on my car. I am going to have to purchase a new shaft because the installed one is goosed, I can see that by taking off the end two rocker arms. There are horrible signs of wear on the shaft. Appears the bushes have eaten into it. Was going to buy the pedestals but can't get those online right now, so I don't want to break the ones I have. Help😰 Andy.. Quote

Each part - shaft, pedestal, arm bushes - are all made by individual concerns in different countries. Tolerances mean nothing. My last shaft change had me opening the pedestal holes a tad. I have ordered a new shaft so I'm going to go to town on it in an attempt to save the pedestals. Thanks for the sage advice as always. Quote
