Philsy Posted June 21 Report Posted June 21 My TR5 has its original steering wheel. The leather rim is in remarkably good shape and just needs recolouring, which I can do. The plastic padding on the centre section, though, is cracked in places - see photos. Can anyone suggest a way of tidying this up, please? Many thanks, Phil Quote
trchris Posted June 21 Report Posted June 21 (edited) Hi Phil l have seen these centre parts for sale from time to time also I’m sure, l don’t know who, there’s somebody who does a leather cover for them other than that possibly a upholstery trimmer maybe able to help? The degraded foam can be filled with plastic filler and shaped to make up the missing pieces before covering Chris Edited June 21 by trchris Quote
Tim T Posted June 21 Report Posted June 21 There was a company called Myrtle who make the vinyl covering for the TR5 wheel, at a price ! Used to be about £160 plus vat. If you look on you tube, they have a video. Good luck, Tim Quote
Philsy Posted June 21 Author Report Posted June 21 Thank you for the replies. I think I’ll have a go at filling the cracks first. I’ll report back! Quote
