Where to buy new vertical links and trunnions for TR6

Hi all

With all the resent topics on vertical links and trunnions where would be the best place to buy new ones which are very good quality.

dont want cheep Chinese rubbish that won’t last.

Hi Steve,

I believe all the Moss ones are made in the UK
I am not aware of these being made anywhere else.

Hi Steve, hope you’re well.
When you go to replace your trunnions etc. don’t use the rubber top seals use the superpro ones Seals.

You probably know this mate but I thought I would mention it just in case.

I bought my vertical link and trunnions from TRGB they match them up with each other so there is no slop in the thread to give a good fit that was about 10,000 miles ago and still good

What’s wrong with the original top seals trunion to post.?  Pt no 142402.

I have a small handful of NOS originals.   Should I just toss them in the bin?

I used your type that last time I rebuilt mine.

No Peter don’t toss the NOS ones in the bin, I was referring the modern so called rubber ones now sold as they just deteriorate in about a year.

I’m just sharing my experience.

Is that a 3° castor trunnion Hamish, if so where was it from. Mine (from the TR Shop) did not come with split pin holes, but used nylock nuts instead.
I would have prefered the split pin type.

Hi Hamish
looking at your split pin tails. Try keeping them short (ish)

If you were to run your hand around the wishbone attachment you may well come to grief 
The tail running down the side of the nut need only go as far as the washer and the one across the top going to the centre of the bolt.

Or invest in Elastoplast

Another area of concern is the plastic tie strap. When one cuts off the unused tail make sure it is flush with the locking device. 
These ends can be very sharp

Bob my records suggest it was 2020 ( doesn’t time fly when your are getting old) and they were a Black Friday sale from Rimmer.
