Junior Posted July 3 Report Posted July 3 Triumph tr7 No spark Hi Looking for advice on tr7 no spark at new coil. I bought a new ballasted coil but recently discovered the ballast wire has been snipped by previous owner. The original coil was a ballasted coil and the car stared fine intil recently so changed the coil but has had no affect. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Quote
Ecosse Posted July 8 Report Posted July 8 Hello, Are you getting power to the coil, if not you could try hotwiring directly from the battery to the positive connection on the coil. Cliff Quote
Junior Posted July 8 Author Report Posted July 8 Hi ,yes was getting power to the coil. Seemed to be an intermittent fault but I think it's resolved hut am not sure how,best guess was a bad connection in the distributor. Thank you for your time very much appreciated Quote
