Hey guys,
Am I right in assuming that the front wheel camber isn't adjustable?

Have a nice day!

I haven't a clue but it has been mentioned here not long ago.

Either do a search or wait for a brighter person than me to sort it out.

Hi Cas

If you can afford to wait I am working on a better solution after trying a MK1 version. The MK2 is currently being worked up.

It should give roughly 2 +ve to 4 -ve with no messing with the lower wishbones shims or need to weld anything.

Look forward to this 😁

Thank you guys,  I know those kits. But is it possible without extra parts?

You can shorten the top wishbones but that need cutting welding and a brace plate in each.

otherwise no you need parts / kits and tools to measure the camber

I specified a batch of vertical posts machined to set the stub axle at a different angle to change the camber. The first set are in my TR3 and work fine.   I have no idea if Moss continued with the small batch production for the performance inspired owners.

To add camber I would fit more shims behind the bottom wishbone brackets

Ok, I do understand, with that you add "negative camber", right?

Means, without adding or losing shim or bending (the vertical link due e.g. a crash) the camber can not  change?

Yes that is right to get more negative camber you add shims with modern tyres I try to get 1 to 1 1/4 degrees negative camber both sides the shims are easy to make yourself if you undo the nuts going through the chassis from the bottom wishbone bracket you can pull the shims out or add more in so no need to totally disassemble

This sounds logical to me. Can I use just ordinary washers as shims?

You can fine tune the camber by slotting the ball joint mounting holes in the top wishbones.

Ive tried but they have a habit of slipping especially after a pot hole or two.

Both of my cars have slotted wishbones and neither have ever slipped. They are very lightly loaded but can be adjusted and then tack the washers in place to prevent slipping.

Thank you so far. I will go with the shims, should be the easiest way.
