Grahamgl Posted July 6 Report Posted July 6 Gentlemen, I have fitted Wosp starter motor to my rolling chassis and I want to fit the correct starter to solenoid cable. What amperage should the cable be please? I presume the same type of cable should go from the solenoid to the battery. The car will be negative earth. Thanks Graham Quote
RobH Posted July 6 Report Posted July 6 I take it this is a follow-on from your thread last year Graham? The heavy cable for the main starter current needs to be as big as is reasonable in order to minimise voltage drop. 35mm^2 (240A rated) would be more than adequate. Quote
