TwinCamJohn Posted July 8 Report Posted July 8 I need to replace this flexible hose. Are there any tips ? Have a new one from Moss. Hope it is of good quality. Quote
BlueTR3A-5EKT Posted July 8 Report Posted July 8 (edited) Remove the master filler cap. Cover with cling film to make air tight by refitting the cap. That will reduce the fluid loss. Then crawl under or work partly from above. Slack hydraulic connections. Remove hose and refit replacement hose using new or annealed copper crush washer on the hose end against the cylinder. Check the end fitting are the same as the currently fitted hose. Moss sent me a hose with the wrong ends a while back. It was a braided type from Mocal. Tighten it all and bleed as normal after removing cling film. Note bleed nipple is upper most. Adjust clutch push rod clearance IAW service manual while you are grovelling under the car.
