NJS292 Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Has anyone opted to fit and found an appropriate ‘Taxi Valve’ to control their heating? Quote
RogerH Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 You do not want the Taxi Valve - you want the correct valve that screws into the head The Everco 74648 Have a look here. http://tr6.danielsonfamily.org/HeaterValve.htm Also look on Amazon with the part No. as they can supply it. Roger Quote

Someone told me yesterday at Shuttleworth you can get that exactly correct valve on Temu ( I think that’s what he said ) for under a fiver - I quizzed him whether that was for the inline taxi one or the right angled threaded one for our cars and he was adamant it was the latter - don’t use Temu so can’t check cheers Rich C-R Edited September 14 by rcreweread Quote
stuart Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Seems to be available here Heater valve.. Temu only keep the inline one and yes very cheap as usual on that site. the original sellers Rock Auto have them in stock but theyre not allowed to sell to the UK as and I quote from when I tried ordering from them "We cannot sell to UK as we cannot determine the percentage of Russian steel used in their construction!" Make of that what you will especially as theyre actually made in Mexico (Thanks to the Orange Buffoon I presume!) Stuart. Quote

Hi Firefly I think you have been quite lucky. They are generally quite prone to not fully opening or closing. The Everco offering is simply perfect (well 99% perfect) Roger Quote
Firefly Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 (edited) Hi Roger ME lucky 😂😂......must be because the engine is fitted to an MGB. Mac. Edited September 15 by Firefly Quote
Ralph Whitaker Posted September 15 Report Posted September 15 I used the much cheaper inline taxi valve, a straight connector in the head, and another right angled heater pipe. Works well and plenty on Ebay for around a tenner, Quote
