I'm thinking of doing a front suspension overhaul this winter, nothing wrong as far as I know except one trunnion squirts grease out of the base when trying to replenish it. (I did soft solder the base to the body, but a small crack has opened up)
I currently have TR shop poly bushes in some of the locations,(don't know who makes them) but in case they are worn what is the current recommended make.

I looked up superpro, but they only do the top inner ones, plus shocker's & antiroll bar, which is not really what I was after, rather both ends of bottom, & inner of top wishbones. Superflex seem to do more, & maybe I can get something at the NEC show ?

My recommendation is Superflex,

they had a squared structure inside (right on the phito) to keep silicon grease in there,

and not to push it out by fitting the bushes on the vertical link.

Better you ask them what they do now, 15 years later, because they don’t point on this well designed detail.

I am planning something similar, the top inners are Superpro and working fine.  The same Superpro bushes also fit the lower inners as the pins are the same size (the original TR2 rubber bushes were the same top and bottom).  This is what I aim to use although they seem to be extremely difficult to fit, see TR4 article in current Traction.  I never had a problem with the top ones though.

Marco will correct me here if I am wrong but I think the Superflex bushes for the lower inners have a steel sleeve so are different from the Superpro ones which don't have the sleeve.

The lower inners on both superpro and superflex have inner sleeves. I have changed to Superflex when I saw Marcos post about them. The inner cross hatching to retain the silicon grease is a genius idea and the stainless sleeves a bonus.

Your choice for lower outer bushes does not include polyurethane for a TR2-3-4 with a trunion that has a fixed pin.

The options are original steel backed lined bushes that need reaming to 5/8" to suit the trunion pin once fitted or Oilite bushes.  I do not know if Oilite need reaming.  Quinten Hazel used to supply brass bushes, but I think they are now history.   If you want some original bushes PM me as I have a few spares.  Revington markets Oilite from the sintered oil impregnated bush making industry.

Hi Pete.  yes, a senior moment there, I did know that as I have actually already replaced, & reamed those bushes.
I now remember using the lathe to keep everything in line.
(Reamer in chuck, & wishbone held firmly against the empty tailstock)

I fitted the Oilite lower outer bushes from Revington - they didn’t require reaming.

Were they drilled for the lubrication or was that task required after fitting?  The use of Oilite is very sensible.

I run poly bushes top inner and original nylon and steel bush set up on the lower inner.

Good question. I think they were pre-drilled. I bought an extra one just incase and will confirm next time I see it…

Can you measure it for us too?   We know tge bore is 5/8” so presumably the exterior is 3/4”.  But what is the bush length.?

This a link to the people who made (make?) the TR crank spigot bushes.

I’ve just remembered the answer… the bushes are shorter - each arm has two oilite bushes fitted to replace one standard bush. When pressed in, one from each side, there is a gap in the middle where the grease fitting is.
So 8 of those needed in total if going down this route.

Yes I’ll find it and measure it when I get home.

That makes sense if you are buying off the shelf standard sized bushes.

Do you lubricate with oil?

Yes. Soaked in a jar of engine oil for a day or two before fitting. Though I think they’ve been greased since. Wonder if oil in the gun would be better…

I recall they were about 1/2” in length. Will confirm later…
