Does anyone have any experience of a slight oil weep between the block and head roughly adjacent to the Oilway at the front end of the head. The weep has only just started since fitting a modified head, both the block and head have been skimmed, with ARP Cylinder head Studs and Bolts torqued up to the specified 80 lb/ft. To add to the issue, there is the occasional drip of coolant adjacent to the central bolt on the exhaust side of the head.

Has anyone fitted a Dolomite Sprint Payen Head Gasket to an 8-valve engine.

Every day is a school day with these new fangled TR7s.

Clearly not, try rob sport he has been helpful in past.

After some research I have discovered that the 8v and 16v Head gaskets are different and are not interchangable. Robsport have indeed been helpful in the past and following their recommendation I used Wellseal on the block to head mating surfaces, resulting in a weep free assembly. I have also found a source for NOS Payen 8v TR7 Cylinder Head Gaskets.
